About Studium Generale

Studium Generale

The office has the task of promoting the social, intellectual and cultural interests of students. Together with students, SG organizes lectures, discussions, concerts, exhibitions, excursions, theater and film performances and workshops for students. • Luna (theater performances, concerts, country evenings and workshops)
  • The Zwarte Doos film hall (films and documentaries)

Some programs take place in town such as the Science Café (book store Van Piere, Nieuwe Emmasingel 44)

Program committees

Building contacts – making friends – giving presentations – broadening your outlook – booking bands – working on your CV – organizing a festival – going on-stage – developing yourself?

SG is regularly looking for people to actively take part in various committees.

Studying means more than studying alone, doesn't it?

If you’re interested, please make an appointment or visit the office, room 2.02, Auditorium, tel. 2474900, or send an e-mail to studium.generale@tue.nl.

The office is open from Monday to Thursday from 09.00 to 17.00 hours.

Lecture, debate, interview: Let us know if you have a great idea for a lecture, debate or interview. It is always nice to hear from you what topics our activities should be about and which speakers we should invite. Of course it is possible to help us organizing the activity. - Contact: Marle de Jonge or Gijs van de Sande

Cooperation with your association: Yes, also possible! Student and study associations and all kinds of other students clubs are very welcome. You have a great idea? Just knock on the door of SG. And true to us: cooperation really means cooperation, which always results in fantastic activities.
